Terms of Service for Give a Buck

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Give a Buck website and platform (“Give a Buck”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the platform.
1. About Give a Buck
Give a Buck is an online platform that enables users (“Organizers”) to create fundraising campaigns and allows others (“Donors”) to make voluntary donations to those campaigns.
Give a Buck acts solely as a technical platform provider and payment facilitator, not as a charity, financial institution, or escrow service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Give a Buck.
By using the platform, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Creating a Fundraiser
Anyone may create a fundraiser, provided that:
The fundraiser is lawful
The information provided is accurate and not misleading
The fundraiser does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights
Give a Buck reserves the right to remove, suspend, or reject any fundraiser at its sole discretion.
4. Donations
a) Nature of Donations
All donations made through Give a Buck are voluntary and non-refundable.
By donating, you acknowledge that:
You are making a voluntary contribution
Donations are not purchases
Donations do not guarantee any outcome or result
b) No Refunds
All donations are final.
Give a Buck does not offer refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
Change of mind
Dissatisfaction with a fundraiser
Fundraiser cancellation or failure to reach its goal
Donors are responsible for ensuring they wish to support a fundraiser before donating.
5. Fees
a) Platform Fee
Give a Buck charges a 5% platform fee on each donation to cover operating and platform costs.
b) Payment Processing Fees
Payment processing fees are charged separately by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe) and are deducted directly from the donation amount.
c) No VAT Charged by Give a Buck
Give a Buck does not charge VAT on donations or platform fees.
Organizers are solely responsible for determining whether VAT or other taxes apply to the funds they receive and for complying with applicable tax regulations.
6. Payouts
Funds are paid out to organizers at the end of each month
Give a Buck does not charge payout fees
Organizers are responsible for providing correct payout and identity information
Give a Buck is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information or third-party payment providers.
7. Organizer Responsibilities
Organizers are solely responsible for:
The accuracy of fundraiser content
Using donated funds as described
Communicating with donors
Complying with all applicable laws and tax obligations
Give a Buck does not verify how funds are ultimately used.
8. Donor Responsibilities
Donors are responsible for:
Reviewing fundraiser details before donating
Understanding that donations are non-refundable
Ensuring compliance with local laws regarding donations and taxes
9. Taxes & Tax Deductions
Give a Buck does not provide tax advice.
Donations are not guaranteed to be tax-deductible
Any tax benefits depend on the donor’s jurisdiction and the organizer’s legal status
Donors and organizers should consult a tax professional if unsure.
10. Platform Availability
We strive to keep Give a Buck available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, or legal reasons without prior notice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Give a Buck is not liable for the actions or omissions of organizers or donors
Give a Buck is not responsible for misuse of funds
Give a Buck is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
Our total liability shall never exceed the platform fees collected by Give a Buck for the relevant donation.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Give a Buck harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the platform
Your fundraiser or donation
Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Give a Buck at any time if these Terms are violated or if required by law.
Termination does not affect completed donations or outstanding obligations.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
